Once home to Zsa Zsa Gabor’s famous horses, Southern California Equestrian Center (SCEC) will take your breath away with the sights and sounds of a beautiful working equestrian center. Gabor’s publicist says she bought the horse ranch on Sand Canyon Road (not far from Thousand Oaks), because she was fed up with Beverly Hills and planned to retire there. She is well known for her great love of horses and upon the move stated, “The horses are going to be looked after like babies.”
The beautiful SCEC is a place for horse shows, weddings and special events. Our motto is simple: “SCEC is a place for people who love horses.” Close to hotels, shopping and beaches, and surrounded by vista views, it soon will offer Equestrian Leadership courses incorporating Amazing Horsewoman LLC’s own herd to educate and bond with participants. SCEC is tucked away in the stunning Somis Valley just miles from LA.
Just 45 miles north of the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, lies a majestically serene equestrian paradise. The 21 acre estate, privately nestled amongst hundreds of acres of lemon orchards, is the home of the Southern California Equestrian Center. The property, once owned by celebrity Zsa Zsa Gabor, is encompassed by breathtaking views of neighboring hills and mountains.
The facility features a 50 stall concrete block barn, a covered round pen, 2 arenas with premium footing, a presentation arena, a 1/4 mile track, and more than a dozen pastures. The facility has been hosting Four Star Rated dressage shows seven times a year since 2003, attended regularly by equestrian Olympians. The facility comes highly regarded by professional horsewomen and horsemen.
