How Zsa Zsa Came to Own the Southern California Equestrian Center

Zsa Zsa Gabor, the iconic Hollywood actress and socialite, had a deep and abiding love for horses that would ultimately lead her toward the Southern California Equestrian Center, an institution deeply rooted in the equestrian scene of the region. Gabor’s fascination with horses began at an early age, as she found solace and joy in their majestic presence. The Ranch’s founders recognized Gabor’s passion and expertise, and developed a close relationship with her, admiring her dedication to the animals and her unwavering commitment to their well-being.

As fate would have it, an opportunity arose for Gabor to acquire the property in 1990, which she renamed Silver Fox Barn in honor of her beloved horse Silverfox, cementing her legacy in the equestrian world. With her unwavering determination and business acumen, she seized the chance.

Gabor saw beyond the bricks and mortar; she envisioned a sanctuary where horses could thrive, and their beauty and power could be celebrated.
